If this is your first time visiting Your PF Pro, welcome to the site! I started this site back in 2011 because I’ve always been amazed at the lack of financial preparation our young professionals are given. How is it that we are forced to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a college education but they don’t teach us the first thing about saving, investing or even budgeting our money? Well I decided to do something about it and that’s why I started my site.
Money is the one thing we all have in common, no matter what age you are or what walk of life you’re in. Everyone cares about money, but you won’t find the typical ‘how to save money on this and that’ articles on my site. If you want to read about 5 ways to lower your grocery bill or how to cut back on your electricity then you’ve come to the wrong place. I think the internet is over-saturated with that kind of crap and that’s why I try to write about anything and everything else.
Most of the topics on this blog aren’t anything crazy but they are unique in the sense that you won’t find them discussed anywhere else. I won’t post an article unless I truly feel it will bring value to my readers. Sometimes I’m way off and my articles are complete bombs but more often than not they are huge hits. Since I started this site, my two most popular articles of all time have to do with investing in Lending Club and saving money at Chipotle so you can see just how diverse the topics are that I write about.
I know that most people don’t get excited thinking about their finances and investing their money but it’s important to at least understand what you’re investing in or know where your money is going every month. This site is perfect for people who have an interest in personal finance but don’t want it to consume their lives. Even though the site is geared towards young professionals, there really is something for everyone here.
If you’re new to the site(or even if you aren’t), I’ve gone through all of the articles over the past two years for you and categorized them into convenient groups. Feel free to browse the following topics or search for whatever you’re interested in. Think of this as a FAQ section.
