I remember reading once that you should buy a car that handles 95% of your daily life. Most people buy cars that are too large or have features that they only use <5% of the time. This is just wasted money. Trucks are a great example. Unless you're hauling stuff at least a few times a month its probably just a waste.
I’m currently living in the city at the moment, although I fee like getting a car I don’t think i really need it as much because the public transport is working quite good. I plan on moving to the country side when I get tired of the city life, i will get a car then, I would love one of those 1970’s classic cars
