What does Christmas time mean to you? Time with family and loved ones? Carols? Snow? Turkey dinner? Presents? Santa Claus? How about Poverty? Well, perhaps that’s a little bit extreme. But one thing’s for sure; with the economic turmoil seen in past few years many low-income families are sure to have a vey stringent festive season, unless of course they are able to raise a few extra pennies along the way. Fortunately though, it isn’t all doom and gloom. For with the busyness of the holiday season come a whole host of festive financing opportunities.

Christmas is the season of goodwill after all, so why not give someone a temporary home leading up to the New Year? Of course, you wouldn’t supply these lodgings completely free of charge (that would defeat the purpose!), but you would give someone a nice place to stay whilst lightening your own financial load during this costly time of the year.

As a new year approaches, it seems a fitting time to vanquish the things of the past. So if you have a collection of unwanted possessions lingering around the house, why not give them a new home? Who knows, your trash could be someone else’s treasure at Christmas time. So do away with the unnecessary objects of the past and look towards 2014, with a few extra bucks in your pocket.

Christmas is the busiest time of the year as far as retail shops, bars and restaurants are concerned. So it is the perfect time to raise some extra money if you have a few hours to spare. High street shops and hospitality venues will be on the lookout for people to fill the odd shift here and there, so take the opportunity to get some extra hours in, and maybe even a few tips along the way!
